Saidee Springall and Jose Castillo co-founded arquitectura 911sc, an independent professional practice committed to architecture, urban design and planning in 2002. Their current work includes the Eje Central Zero Emissions Corridor for Mexico City as well as the Pantitlan-Neza-Chimalhuacan Bus Rapid Transit project, developed with Transconsult for the State of Mexico. Their work has been exhibited and published worldwide.
Jose Castillo holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Architecture, and a Doctor of Design degree from Harvard University. Castillo is a member of the editorial board of Arquine, the Advisory board of SCIFI at SCI-Arc and a member of the Urban Age advisory board.
Saidee Springall holds a degree in Architecture from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City as well as a Masters in Architecture from Harvard University. She has been a fellow of the Conacyt and the Fonca in Mexico.
